Poiat’s operational framework is poised for an exciting transformation in February 2024.

From now on, our creative design work will be known as Studio Rouhunkoski Mikkonen. Poiat, on the other hand, will continue its journey solely as a furniture brand, as recognized by most of our followers.’ explains Antti Rouhunkoski, one of the co-founders of the company.

The transformation will bring clarity to the offerings of both brands for our clients and the general public, while also opening up new opportunities for Studio Rouhunkoski Mikkonen and Poiat. Studio Rouhunkoski Mikkonen aims to identify like-minded individuals who appreciate designers’ style of creating human-centered and sophisticated spaces, as well as their unique approach to design.

It’s good to listen to external perspectives, open new doors, and do things differently from time to time. We want to design increasingly diverse, demanding projects from homes to commercial spaces, which are clearly our strengths. On the design side, we want to expand from furniture to lighting, textiles, and other interior decor items, and collaborate with other design brands.’ summarizes Timo Mikkonen, the company’s other co-founder.

The story of Poiat continues with the current and upcoming furniture designs, and Studio Rouhunkoski Mikkonen will carry on as its creative director and designer. This transistion particularly streamlines the brand’s marketing and communication, making it easier for both current and new customers to stay effortlessly connected with us.

We’re truly proud of the Poiat brand that we have built over the past 10 years. Our furniture’s primary market is abroad. Our goal is to significantly increase sales in the world’s metropolises with the right partners, making our work both profitable and rewarding. Secondly, with this change, our designers step into the spotlight behind the brand, which is only a positive development.‘ says the CEO of Poiat, Jenni Mikkonen.
