The renowned lifestyle platform & magazine Monocle has chosen Poiat’s Unio Sofa Collection as the winner of the Warmest Design prize at the Monocle Design Awards 2022.

We are very delighted to have Monocle honouring us with this award.

“Monocle has championed the timber work of Finnish furniture company Poiat for years. It’s now moved into softer furnishings, including this cosy sofa, to bolster its well-crafted offering. “To be frank we are a little bored of ‘Scandinavian style’, which can be a bit too minimalistic,” says Poiat CEO Jenni Mikkonen. “For us, warmth is important.”

The Unio Sofa Collection, designed by Timo Mikkonen, Antti Rouhunkoski & Aleksandr Pukki of Poiat Studio, is a versatile examination between the shapes and dimensions of wooden and soft furniture.
